ever since heretic i’ve been obsessed with sophie thatcher she’s an incredible actress so it’s no surprise she absolutely killed it in this. but i felt the story had a few gaps and seemed disjointed at times and i was expecting it to go crazier with more twists but it never really went there. it was fun just not as bold as i’d hoped. still, sophie is definitely going to places

okay this film dragged at times but the acting and cinematography were excellent creating this suffocating atmosphere that really drew you in. it started off as a strong exploration of belief, gripping and thought-provoking which was very engaging but then it abandoned that focus. instead of fully embracing its theological depth or challenging its characters to the end it fell back on generic horror tropes which felt like a missed opportunity :/

the emphasis on each connection in the film clearly demonstrates the vital role that all three characters play in each other’s lives…art and patrick’s friendship becoming more intertwined with tashi’s presence, we also never get to see patrick and tashi’s relationship without art being in the picture, and even in the context of tashi and art’s marriage, patrick’s presence remains significant. team art this team patrick that, im team THROUPLE forever

every time hazel appears i have heart shaped eyes straight out of a cartoon..also, you notice rachel trying to hold back her laughter during ayo’s monologue like both of them need to be in a comedy film every year
