This was rad. The heroine was tough and believable. The soundtrack was fun; the original score was perfect and other songs included Isis, Thou, & Deth Crux! The first half of the film is a cute drunken flirtatious evening between 2 music nerds and the back half is a slaughter fest. The dialogue is hilarious and got the crowd cheering. The explosions, robots, and hella snow were very impressive. You know this was a fun shoot. Basically it’s a Christmas themed Terminator crossed with Chopping Mall but set in a small town! Super fun :)

Fun to see Carpenter's hand at a TV biopic after Halloween and first project with Russell. It's goofy like a TV movie is and scratches the itch while I wait for Lurhmann's biopic!

Run don’t walk. Haven’t laughed this much at a movie in so long! Like Goonies crossed with like, uh, a high fantasy interpretation akin to American Movie’s Coven or maybe whatever novels Mandy was reading in Mandy, and also Napoleon Dynamite. Mixed with cottagecore, guns, Kate Bush, and throw in some Moonrise Kingdom. Wholesome AF, great time at the cinema.

This was drab, dreary, and a mess. The last 30 mins picked it up and the animated parts were excellent. But the misogyny didn’t age well and was really stupid. I’m glad I got to see this in a movie theater with fans. I could have never suffered through this at home, and geeze, on psychedelics? What a bad trip!
