I've watched this movie three times and I feel like I don't have any better an understanding of it than I did after one.
This meanders through a conventional workplace narrative but has sporadic lightning strikes of surreal postmodern almost "vapor wave" levels of computer-based imagery. It is very possible that Steven Whatmough's The Korean From Seoul is a surrealistic modern deconstruction the likes of which we may have never seen before. And I mean that.

For about half of this film I really thought it might be another Kid Detective for me- a movie I didn't expect to love but ended up being my favorite movie of the year. Unfortunately, the story here just sort of drifts away from any meaningful conclusion about the themes it brings up, but along the way I have to say that I really enjoyed most of the ride.
