"Good Morning, Vietnam" wasn’t the war flick I expected. Instead, it’s mostly Robin Williams talking at lightning speed into a mic, while chasing a Vietnamese schoolgirl who barely speaks English.
It was good - not the most engaging at first, but it picked up a bit halfway through. There were some great fleeting moments, followed by a lull. I didn’t see the twist coming at the end.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Robin Williams; he’s such a genuine…

I kept thinking about how Clint Eastwood looks like a mix between Hugh Jackman and David Bowie in this film.
Bit underwhelmed. I expected more. It's fine and watchable, but it just lacked something.
The plot feels weak and, in my opinion, isn't very exciting. There was also barely any music during the action scenes, which made those moments feel more awkward than fun to watch.
Dirty Harry is a cool character with a lot of swagger, but the dialogue…

I seem to be in the minority, but I thought this film was a great time and didn’t expect to see low reviews.
It’s like Mission Impossible meets Die Hard 2, with a touch of Toy Story 2 - what more could you want?
Engaging, fast-paced, and full of action.
It’s unrealistic (like the car scene to Wham! or where the girlfriend wakes up with a face of makeup), but still a fun ride.
Taron Egerton is fantastic, and Jason…

Heretic starts strong, building great tension in the first half, but loses momentum as it progresses.
Its exploration of life after death feels more pretentious than profound, weighed down by metaphors that try too hard to tackle deep themes.
Once the story shifts to the basement, my interest begins to fade. The horror tropes, including the bits of gore and jump scares, ultimately didn’t appeal to me.
On the plus side, the film is brilliantly shot, creating a claustrophobic, confined…

Average, late 80s christmas flick. As with lots from this decade, a few outdated jokes and elements to it but it's an alright watch.
I'm a bit indifferent with how I feel about this one ... it was just a bit bland/forgettable. The story is very simple but relatable I suppose.
Not a bad film by any means, but there are far better choices for a Christmas film to (re)watch. Had way more fun with Jingle All The Way.

Okay, I'm definitely not the target audience, but I stumbled upon Sabrina Carpenter's 50-minute Christmas special in Netflix's Top 10 tonight. As a casual listener, I decided to check out the hype.
Sabrina is stunning in festive outfits, innuendos, and retro backdrops, all while keeping things entertaining with her charisma. Most of the sketches though, are cringey, with a laugh track reminding me of those poor Saturday Night Live skits.
That said, it's clear that she's becoming a prominent pop…

Apologies to Phil, my lecturer who directed this, but this film was utter shite.
James Corden was an insufferable pervert in this. His character was vulgar and misogynistic throughout. It's a very poor imitation of Shaun of the Dead, lacking all charm and wit.
The typical, "haha guys like girls, guys like sex" trope, but Corden is the fat guy, no way will he ever get with the girls who are clearly out of his league.
The stuff with the vicar swearing as well?
Stupid title, stupid annoying film. Even James Corden himself said to not watch it.

I love the message in Dickens' A Christmas Carol – it's powerful and still relevant. However, I've never really liked the Muppets; they always felt annoying and expressionless. I rewatched this version, and it was okay. It's an enjoyable watch.
The ghosts were off-putting, especially the Ghost of Christmas Past, which wasn’t even a human or a Muppet – just unnerving. The CGI of that particular ghost was awful, looking like a cursed episode of CBeebies Numberjacks or something.
The…

The film’s beautiful hand-drawn 2D animation is a nostalgic nod to the likes of classic Disney from the past, blending stunning visuals with a story that perfectly captures the Christmas feeling.
It’s visually stunning, funny in all the right places, and full of heart. The voice acting is also brilliant, bringing the characters to life with such charm.
What I particularly appreciate is how “Klaus” works as a standalone film, with no sequel planned, a sentiment echoed by writer-director Sergio…

The worst film I’ve ever seen. Poorly acted, with parts that feel like a glorified porno somehow getting a theatrical release.
This movie is straight-up ass (quite literally in some scenes).
Half a star is being generous. Film studies, don’t make us suffer through this dogshit again.

I was sold the moment Arnold Schwarzenegger sucker-punched a Santa dwarf - the kind of outrageous scene that probably wouldn't be made today.
While the movie is imperfect and sometimes predictable, Arnold's cheesy, over-the-top acting and the film's Christmas charm make it an enjoyable watch.
The story follows a father who constantly disappoints his son and goes to extreme lengths to get him the toy he wants in time for Christmas.
The film is quotable, goofy, and a lot of…

It's mostly Cillian Murphy being miserable, walking quietly, staring into space, and then scrubbing his hands with soap.
There's a moment where the wife says to Murphy, “you haven't said anything all day,” but honestly, “you haven't said anything all film” would’ve been more accurate.
The dialogue is so dreary and mumbly, with a plot that never seems to pick up or go anywhere.
The film feels lifeless, which isn't helped by the fact there is practically no score, with…
