    Let me preface. This review is based on my most recent rewatch, of which I am a few days removed. Bladerunner is a fantastic movie. Visually and asthetically it is right up my alley. The world that this story takes place in is beautiful. From the street level characters behind the counter of open walled noodlehouse to the grime and trash all over to the massive sky-rise-town-sized-corporation-headquarters. I love it.     “Give Demi the Oscar.” Give me the Oscar for waiting for the payoff. It was like a demo reel for how far a team could push the practical effects into repulsion territory. Throw in a couple plastic baggies with words on ‘em (SWITCH. YOU ARE THE MATRIX. YOU ARE ONE.) and you got yourself a movie plot.

    All sizzle and no steak. This world was built for mine eyes. The color choices. Set decorations. Costuming. The symmetry of the scene and character framing (is what I just said a real phrase?). I needed like sixty less minutes of Ellen physically needing Orlac inside of her and just like five more minutes of why.
