I don’t care what anyone thinks, I love this film. Maybe it’s because it’s the first Evil Dead film I got to watch in the cinema (can’t believe that was 10 years ago…) or maybe it’s just the fact that once the possessions starts it rarely lets up.
It’s definitely the creepiest and outright goriest in the series and add in the fact there is absolutely no levity anywhere in the film’s run time, the amazing sound design and the stomach churning special effects and you have probably the tensest and scariest version of Evil Dead we will ever get.
