Giving Whannell another Universal monster movie was a no brainer after what he did with the invisible man. And honestly I thought he did fine with the wolf man. I’ve seen a lot of criticism regarding the look of the wolf man but I think it’s a unique look and a nice addition to the werewolf sub genre.
Really great performances all around, and it’s easy to get invested in these characters. It makes the ending all the more impactful.…

Nosferatu 2024

Robert Eggers was one of the best choices to do a remake of Nosferatu, and it was more or less what I expected. The scenes in Transylvania were incredible due to the great lighting and cinematography. I liked that almost every time Orlok is on screen the film looks nearly black and white. The performances were great, and Lily-Rose Depp was a standout to me.
That being said I would also like to give a shoutout to my local theater…
