My first John Waters movie and I completely see why so many people have applauded his years of work and never had something put in front of me to know why. So much of the film stands up to this day and is incredible.

While I wish they cranked up the thematic struggle of religion and secular society to even greater levels, this movie stands out as a solid hit still in my opinion when looking at the franchise as a whole. I really enjoyed it and will probably watch it again.

I hate horror movies because they make me feel so unsettled so shout out to Long Legs for making me feel unsettled for the entirety of the movie. I’m a sucker for shot composition and this handed it over on a silver platter.
