desire as an all-consuming force to know someone, to see the world through their eyes, to be let in in their mind and maybe get a glimpse of their inner-most thoughts, how they think and process and understand their realities. and maybe see how they see you, maybe find a connection, and maybe, in the process, be finally known and understood. that's too much to ask for, i guess, but desire, at its most potent, cannot be extinguished. you dive into the fire and revel in the burns of its glories.
