This film is like the final form of Nolan's "characters give exposition over multiple locations and times" trope.
It's too frenetic and never really settles. Sure, this could be symbolic of the nature of the sprawling chain reaction that occurs in the atomic bomb, but I may be giving Nolan too much credit there.
I appreciate the ideas and scale of the film but I didn't really enjoy it, besides a few sequences such as the bomb testing scene, Oppenheimer's speech to the cheering crowd and the final scene, which were truly masterful.
