On Her Majesty's Secret Service 1969

The winter Olympics of Bond films. The action scenes are a bit choppy and this Bond does not quite have the same level of charisma or charm that Connery had, but this one works for me on practically every other level.
You have some legit espionage here rather than just blunt action. The characters feel realized and their interactions, especially between Tracy and Bond, feel sincere.
Maybe seen as an outcast with its one and done Bond, but this one is actually a great entry in the franchise.

I love this movie. It's so well paced, packed with maybe the craziest collection of great supporting characters. A compelling story with undoubtedly stellar performances from Streep and Hanks. The shot of Meryl Streep walking out of the courthouse, and the very very end might be a bit goofy, but the rest of the film rules.

A great movie, with my only complaint being that Hannibal Lechtor is such a fascinating character and scene stealer that it makes you care less about the actual story thats going on and want more focus on Hannibal himself
