Alrigh’, I’m gonna jus’ say it, I burned the fuck out last year. 

I feel like such a massive cunt sayin’ that coz like, this ain’t backbreakin’ labor, it ain’t even a JOB it’s a fuckin’ FILMS BLOG the world don’t even really care if I maintain or not, but I lost almos’ all mo’ivation t’write anythin’ ‘ere in 2024. Ev’ry now’n ag’in a flick broke thro an’ I DID log it but outside’ve those it woz jus’, like, GONE. There’s so many logs I started an’ then fuckin’ abandoned sayin’ I woz gonna come back to ‘em an’ then fuckin’ DIDN’T it’s embarrassin’. I though’ it might be the way I write ‘em, coz like this AIN’T fuckin’ easy lemme tell ya that fer free, so I even gave droppin’ the gimmick an’ doin’ ‘em like A NORMAL PERSON t’see if that helped. Nope, didn’t help fuck all, if anythin’ it made it worse coz exac’ly wot I knew would happen happened, I got FUCKIN’ BORED DOIN’ IT, it weren’t any fun an’ they all read like every other arsehole on this app who likes the sound’ve their own fuckin’ voice doz. They’re never seein’ the light’ve day. They’d have t’be finished first anyway. 

It wozza INTENSE fuckin’ year mate. Fer a lot’ve GOOD REASONS I wanna make that clear. Fer a few bad ones an’all but I ain’t goin’ int’a any’ve that coz like I’ve already sed this’s a Films Blog, it ain’t me therapy, well not yet anyway I’m savin’ that fer when me parents start dyin’. Wot I’m sayin’ is, me brain felt like it woz comin’ up fer air fer large bits’ve 2024, and azzit woz gaspin’ the last thing it wanned t’do woz wax lyrical on the pros an’ cons’ve Netflix movies. Or ANY fuckin’ movies fer that matter. I DID watch films. I watched so many that the backlog scared the shit out’ve me and by July I woz mos’ly veggin’ with YouTube playin’ away to itself in the backgroun’. It goes withou’ sayin’, the Streamin’ Movie List fer 2024 is cancelled. I only put aroun’ 40-ish films onnit anyway, which is way under wot I consider bein’ a serious rankin’ thing. It’ll stay up jus’ so there’s proof I came int’a the year ready an’ willin’ but it will be marked “ABANDONED AN’ HAUN’ED” once I’m dun with this. Me plan azzit is righ’ now is, now I’ve hadda rest, an’ there’s over three hun’red days fer me t’not feel crushed under, I’ll be startin’ ag’in this year with a bit more pep in me step. I make no promises coz ya never know, I migh’ hit Feb an’ fall down The YouTube Hole ag’in, but as’ve today I’m feelin’ good. Plus Tubi launched in the UK last year an’ the idea’ve doin’ their Orig’nals fer The List has act’uly got me a bit giddy. 

Also while I’ve got ya I s’pose I should mention there’s binna rules change fer how The List works. Before I was goin’ with, it had t’have the service’s brandin’ on the thumbnail fer it t’qualify. Well Amazon’s fucked that up coz they’ve took the Prime logo off EV’RYTHIN’ they have azza Orig’nal an’ Exclusives. I get why, they’ve realised people assume all Streamin’ Exclusives’er shit so they tryin’a not draw any attention to it an’ hope nobody no’ices, but like, I feel person’ly fuckin’ attacked Boss. So goin’ forward, I’ll be goin’ with that rule fer all the other services, EXCEP’ fer Prime where I’ll have t’live an’ die by their little “ORIG’NALS AN’ EXCLUSIVES” section. I promise I’ll be sensible ‘bout it tho, I mean last year they woz claimin’ “THE BATMAN” as one’ve there’s when they got hold’ve it annit’s like, come the fuck ON man, know wot I mean?
