As a child, I would go through our bookcase full of DVDs until I found the box set of musicals that contained Singin’ In The Rain and loudly beg to watch it. My mom- the woman who owned the movie and was the reason we had multiple box sets of musicals to begin with- almost always obliged. We’d sit together on Saturday mornings, eyes glued to the screen during the dramatic scenes and singing along during the songs.
