Brutally claustrophobic even in open spaces. Suffocating, gasping for air because the dread is so thick. A film that feels like you’re drowning. It is creatively devilish, a stroke of disorienting evil feels stained across my soul. Visceral isn’t strong enough. Conceptually terrifying and atmospherically smothering would describe Longlegs on a basic, instinctual level. Dig any deeper and you may find the devil himself waiting for you with his jaws open wide and a pit of fire waiting for your eternal soul.
The horror film of the year. Cage is unforgettable. Monroe is at her peak. Perkins embodies terror. Everything I wanted from all the promos.
