Second time I’ve seen this film since it first came out and BOY did it hit me so hard this time around. I guess being older has something to do with it but I sympathize so much more with Mia’s relationship with Sebastian. The last 10 minutes are BRUTAL. Like, thanks for showing us what could have been if they made different decisions in their relationship and actually stayed together. I wanna point out that I really vibed with the nods to old Hollywood films and the musical aspect of the film was so catchy and fun. It deserved all the awards it won back in 2017.
