I know that I say this in just about every Nic Cage review, but he is really his own breed of entertainment. Couple him with the 90s and one of the wildest concepts for a film and you get this piece of cultural history: Con Air.
This is one of Nic's films from the 90s that's more infamous than some of the others and while I think that I liked Face-Off more, this is still incredible for reasons that wouldn't count for an actually prestigious piece of cinema. Don't get me wrong, as I said, this is a real piece of culture plucked out of the 90s and the sad thing is that something like this will probably never be made again.
I encourage everyone to watch this immediately if you haven't before. Trust me, it will be a legendary experience, filled with Nic Cage's best Forrest Gump impression.
