    Most the time, in January and February, it’s like there’s this big black cloud covering everything… like, we see the movies, but we don’t really enjoy the movies. You know? All this stumbling around with offerings of mediocrity… no sense of meaning, no purpose.

    I know that might sound super depressing, but honestly I think it’s a good thing, because it makes us appreciate the other times… that brief transcendent moment when the lights flicker on - the black cloud…

    I love this film for everything it doesn’t do.

    It doesn’t give us the initial shootout.
    It doesn’t give us the final shootout.
    It doesn’t give us unsourced music.
    It doesn’t give us easy answers
    And heck, we can’t even connect the dots without some deep thought, a few beers and a couple of viewings.

    In total it doesn’t do all the things a lesser movie would feel…
