The Complete Unknown was surprisingly better than I expected, telling the story of Bob Dylan in a much more nuanced and organic manner, defying what I’ve come to expect from most contemporary biopics. Similarly, the performances are great. While I can’t attest to Timothy’s portrayal as “Bob Dylan,” since I practically know nothing about him, I can say he created a deeply personal and unique characterization that certainly made me wonder more about the titular singer.
