Damn. It’s not my favourite Disney movie, but holy shit does hand-drawn animation just whip ass. Gorgeous panoramas, character design, sweeping camera moves through the village and the ballroom. Shame about the downgrade to the pasty prince at the end.

Well goddamn. He actually did it.
Not only did he continue the incredible VFX work, making the world feel lived in and physical. There’s a shot of a reflective ship that made my jaw drop, and a shot of a worm that nearly made me wet my pants.

Mad Max: Fury Road was a story in the Wasteland. This is a story of the Wasteland. Sweeping and epic, brutal and bloody, beautiful and terrifying.
