It's such a harsh movie. Dave's perspective shows us the reality of addiction harming others. The flashbacks hurt so badly, being able to see Nic as a kid and then coming back to the present.
I cried even rewatching this movie because no matter what Nic's dad does not quit being there for him. Never thought a journey of a father and son would shock me as much as this did.
