Damn. I really wanted to like this movie. Was enjoying it, too, up to a point. But making a horror movie for "weird's sake" just isn't enough to make it good. Especially when it could have been so much better! The little details, like the UPS driver giving the town nerd a copy of Creepy magazine, popular back when i was a kid in the 70s, or the hipsters from out of town driving the same kind of car that was in Night of the Living Dead, were really encouraging, but then three quarters into the movie the script just fell apart. The makers of this film must've caught the same virus the Game of Thrones writers got when they neared the end of their saga. A bug that makes you not give a damn. A shame really. So much wasted talent for an I don't give a damn movie. I gave it two stars only because of the great theme song. Oh, and the cgi sucks. Hollwood, stop using cgi in horror movies!!! Practical effects only!
