Idc I love this movie. Scared the shit out of me as a teenager, and some of those distorted freeze frame faces still creep me out.
I love Milla Jovovich in this (she’s one of my faves!), but it would’ve been such a bland film without the half-real/half-reenactment storytelling. That “feels real” element is what makes this movie so fun to watch.
This is why we need more quality found footage movies and more quality alien horror movies! We don’t have enough. I’m sure there are plenty of flaws in the execution of this (like for one, the child actor for the daughter was so bad) BUT at least the filmmaker gave us some interesting storytelling and in a unique format.
The Fourth Kind keeps you invested and leaves you daydreaming about aliens... 🛸
