Reindeer Games 2000

This marks the second December in a row that I’ve watched this, but the first time I’ve watched it with a group of friends (none of whom had seen it before) and I think it’s officially locked in as a Christmas standard. A dumb movie about Michigan’s dumbest people planning a dumb crime with so many convoluted twists that it should have collapsed on itself, but also… it’s consistently exciting (*all* the action sequences are a treat), occasionally hilarious (there’s a Pepsi/Coke joke I was so looking forward to hearing again), and *actually* Christmassy. Deserves yearly, cheer-filled 35mm screenings.
