Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 1953
Wild how much more brazen conventional romantic cinema was about heterosexual romance's commonalities with sex work in this era. The movie functions as a metatext solidifying Marilyn's archetype and defining her persona as a slinky seductress who, despite her apparent ditzy airs (so as not to make her too threatening to the walking piggy banks she bleeds dry), is always one step ahead of the game. A bit of a genre mishmash, but that's fine.
