This touched me very deeply. I am married to a man who is not out to his family, due to cultural reasons. As a result, his family doesn't even know I exist. While this is easy to manage because they live in a different country, it still breaks my heart to see him only able to be himself with me. This short gives me hope that one day his situation may improve, and he might be able to find the courage to tell them who he is, and he will be accepted and loved and no longer have to live his life in the shadows.

My brain does not fathom that an adult human wrote this. The only benefit of this film is that in 2005, Eric Balfour had a nice bum. Otherwise, this film has nothing going for it.

Oh my word, what an incredible piece of art this is. It is so beautiful a film to just look at, but the story itself is so simple yet so good. The yuki-onna is chilling to witness (pun fully intended), yet Yuki as a wife and mother is so caring and compassionate. When she has the rare moments where she has to revert to her true form, it is genuinely terrifying a transformation. And the ending is truly heartbreaking.
I am starting to feel like this Daiei Gothic boxset was released with me specifically in mind.

The world is being ravaged by a new virus. We are in the midst of a pandemic. The world is falling to pieces around us. Everyone is scared, and the future is uncertain. Thank god we can escape back to 1993 to watch the greatest film ever made.
