Wolf Man 2025

I don’t think you can do a good mainline Wolf Man- Landis, the monster, of course cracked it to A+ levels with American Werewolf in London, and I have love for Dog Soldiers, The Howling series, The Company of Wolves, Ginger Snaps, and even the wolf man stuff in Monster Squad, but Benicio and Jack and now our boy C Abbott, who I love, have choked absolute shit on straight adaptations- there’s so little to love here- Leigh needs James, and vice versa, let’s face it-

I feel like I can breathe again- exemplary Leigh throwing into razor sharp relief what a disaster modern cinema has become- it lives here, oh boy, does it ever- best film of 2024, easy

This is what you get when you let nerds like Eggers have the keys to the kingdom- never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this would be worse than The Last Voyage of the Demeter, but here I stand, defeated- this was an incredible waste of time
