Fuckin Paul is having a bad night.
Wow, this movie was intense and nonstop! It seemed like the cautionary tale of be careful what you wish for. If wishing for a little excitement were a sin.
Anyway, Paul made some bad choices, but most of them wouldn't have been a big deal if the other people involved weren't all unbalanced individuals too. I must have said wtf like every 10 minutes.
And initially, I was annoyed by Paul but as…

My introduction to Paul Schrader scripts/movies, I think. This was entertaining but darker than I expected ( in a good way!)
And the movie surprised me with how many of the characters' lines got stuck in my head for days afterward.
“It’s like my eyes are open and I’m looking at you, but I’m dead.”
Tommy Lee Jones was a delight to watch. William Devane was also excellent in this movie.
This was a good time.

The first Creep was a good surprise. Mark Duplass is great in both of these movies.
The victim in the first movie was so incredibly dumb/naive that it almost ruined it for me. But we have a different person altogether in the second movie. I think they're supposed to be a desperate youtuber willing to do anything for fame. 🙄
Unfortunately, I mostly found myself annoyed with this movie's somewhat abrasive victim. It low key reminded me of that part…

I have a harsh review, ymmv.
This movie was pretty infuriating for me. And not for the baby murder, not really. Ok fine. Baby manslaughter.
The two protagonists/antagonists, … Maria & Jesus, were both extremely unlikeable individuals. Just absolutely irresponsible and insufferable people.
So as far as THE scene, I don’t actually want to see a baby get hurt but they could have done something else because just having the “fall” be off screen robbed the scene of its emotional power.…

My goodness… This movie was a dark gothic delight. Just beautifully crafted and more erotic than I was expecting.
Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgard gave absolutely powerful performances here. The cast was freakin stacked. Everyone was spectacular, but those two really stood out, especially Lily-Rose.
I really could not tell it was Bill Skarsgard underneath the Count Orlok makeup, it was wild.
Glad I got to watch it at the cinema! I cannot wait to watch this again.

I thought this movie was a blast! Also I'm just a sucker for movies set in space, not to mention a big fan of the Alien franchise.
I already can't wait to rewatch this but I'm glad I watched it at the cinema first.
That human/Xenomorph creature was fuckin nightmare fuel!
And I know not everyone was a fan of the last 10 to 15 minutes of the movie, especially the dangling in space part, but I loved it all.
