Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Ham: That's all, folks. Peter B. Parker: Is he allowed to say that? Legally?

tell me, how many times have I watched this film?

5 rewatches, two times?

help me to recollect

I feel as if paying testiment to my favourite distinct animated movie is well overdue.

as a prerequisite, I would like to both pay gratitude to this film for instigating my extortionate Jordan obsession, I STILL WANT THE PROMO PAIR NIKE!

this film still remains a touching coincidence that this was one of the first marvel pictures that released after Stan Lee's tragic passing, this film pays true homage to the fundamentals that first initially gave traction to the comic publishing company, not only through the retrospective art and style direction but also the wit and sentimental yet action fuelled scripting and humourous visual gags, that almost seems as if it derived synonymous inspiration from the classic comics, of course of which recieved a lot of input primarily from Lee himself.

I'm not going to recline and say that conforming to attempting a film a day was slowly diminishing any passion I had for watching a film and following such a routine was turning watching a film from an anticipation into more of a burden.

this film has pulled me out of the rut.

while some of the visual sequences may be reminiscent of psychedelic themes, with bright prominent colour palettes that dont seem out of place from the dense urban cityscape of New York city.

this colourful nature also translates through into the proposed characters sublimely, miles Morales, a representation of adolescence, 'coming of age' tale to realising his peculiar circumstance of obtaining superpowers. as the plot unravels, we discover that, like fellow adolescents, Morales is looking what his integrated purpose is within the wide scheme of humanity, by the end of the final act you discover that his powers catalyse and empower the once stranded teen. this trope of miles makes him very easily resonating to.

while this could be perceived as conventional to the traditional 'origin' story, the little unique vignettes when different spider people are introduced provide sufficient back story enough to make them seem rounded and surprisingly realised.

this film is an assimilation of paying tribute to both tradition and trailblazing into the future of cinema.

I could delve into a deeper analysis of how truly bewildering this film is, but I believe the pure enjoying derives from just embracing the tumultuous themes within the film upon your own interpretation!

indubitably satisfying!
