A timeless classic that beautifully portrays God's greatest gift. Life.
For me, cinema (& art as a whole) is all about the feeling that it can create inside one's heart and mind. Sure, exploring meaningful themes and doing so through carefully chosen cinematic techniques is also an essential part of cinema, but no more important than being able to generate that singular feeling that only a great film can.
It’s a Wonderful Life creates that sentiment like few movies ever did. Its exploration of friendship and gratitude is thoughtfully conceived. So much so that by the end of the film, you'll find yourself smiling at the seemingly meaningless things that are presented to us throughout this powerful story.
This is the kind of work of art that makes you want to be better, to do better, and to realize how wonderful life actually is.
