this film perfectly encapsulates what luca does best: capture insatiable yearning. getting so high you publicly humiliate yourself just to talk to someone, travelling continents in search of a miracle drug that allows you to simply express yourself so truly you speak without talking, hearing them call out your name, their breath against your skin, even in your final moments… desiring someone so deeply, so devastatingly that you want to, quite literally, sink into their skin. subverted my expectations in the best ways possible
