Fun Fact. This is actually the first horror movie I’ve ever seen in theatres, mainly because I was duped by the legitimately great marketing. And by duped I mean I wasn’t really scared at all, this was quite creepy and disturbing to be sure but I have to admit this didn’t truly scare me once. This felt more like a really solid crime thriller with a pretty good mystery behind it, but this is NOT on the same level as Silence of the Lambs. I don’t know when that comparison came from and on a surface level I can kinda see it, but this is entirely its own thing. Nothing more to add really, except for the fact we needed more Nicholas Cage. He was absolutely disgusting in this movie and I couldn’t get enough of him! :)
