In the original script/screenplay, Alejandro had around 90% more dialogue, a scene with a nude Kate, a dream sequence (pretty early in the movie) showing what happened to his wife and daughter, and only killed Alarcón.

So, Colin Farrell dressed as Danny DeVito looks like Robert De Niro. What a world we live in.
A (mostly) awesome movie, that (mostly) lived up to the hype. Congrats to Matt Reeves and co. for pulling off something so cool. I just really wish they’d have done something else with the third act. Bombs go off and the city floods felt too generic for a movie that had done things so differently to that point. Everything else was spot on though.
