Frank Perry. Man, what a filmmaker. When they say a career is hard to pin down, this is the director I point to. Such a specific voice and yet at the same time, such wildly diverse work. How did this man do so many dreamlike, hazy, gorgeous nightmares like this and HOUSEWIFE and THE SWIMMER and also… Disney comedies with tv stars?
