Such a cute story with gorgeous cinematography—it’s kind of like The Holdovers, straight out of the eighties. Robin Williams is absolutely the best, but the overall vibe felt a bit goofy at times. Like, I’m not sure if I was supposed to laugh at Thomas Perry’s slow-mo 'NOOO' when his son shot himself. 😳
Anyway, what better way to start the year than snuggling up under a blanket with my new Dead Poets Society Blu-ray my girlfriend gifted me? 🥹

Mads Mikkelsen gets only about half the screentime of the average Bond villain, yet he ranks as one of the best—commanding every scene he’s in with absolute control. I also like how the characters feel much more like real human beings rather than stereotypical clichés.
The cinematography is stunning, with its luxurious golden tones that make every frame a visual treat. Overall, this film is a massive step up in almost every way compared to its predecessors. Almost forgot: great score! David Arnold did not hold back.
