I have this short film on VHS and I used to watch it all the time when I was much younger, but it’s been roughly a decade since I’ve watched it so it came out on Netflix and I decided to watch it!
This might be my favorite short film of all time, I can’t really find any flaws with this film. The animation is superb and I actually live about an hour away from the animation studio. I mean it’s stop motion so how can I not love it, if you didn’t already know, I used to make stop motion films with Lego.
The Wallace & Gromit series is superb and I’ve seen pretty much all of it. The story structure in this film is very simple but it’s followed perfectly and the story as a whole is fairly simple but it’s executed superbly. This really is a masterpiece. 30 minutes of pure goodness, thank god it won the Oscar for animated short that year!
