#83rd Film of 2022
A behind the scenes documentary about my favourite film of last year is undoubtedly something that I would enjoy, and I did. I’m a fan of Netflix creating these special features, even if they should be a little longer. I’m also a fan of how for the past four years Netflix have funded a film project each year which was a great work of cinema, from a master filmmaker, and which has gone on to win awards and content for Best Picture.
2018: Roma
2019: The Irishman
2020: Mank
2021: The Power of the Dog
I’m not a fan of these filmmakers’ struggles to have their film released widely in theatres, but at least Netflix is stepping up.
I’m yet to see Drive My Car so that may overtake Power of the Dog as 2021 favourite, we shall see…
