I definitely need to give this series a rewatch sometime. I feel like after multiple watches I’ll like and appreciate this series even more. I love many of the ideas and core themes here. The atmosphere and mood of the anime is pretty creepy throughout. The opening and ending song also slap. This is a series that is very much up to your own interpretation. I do not understand absolutely everything about it and I don’t think I ever will. It’s also kinda hard to believe that this came out in 1998 because this was way ahead of its time. Many of the themes explored here are even more relevant today.
This is either a series that you love and find very interesting or a series that you will hate and find very boring.
