This is probably one of the most dramatic and sad films I have ever seen and also one of the ones that made me more angry. One of those movies that everyone should see and should be shown in all schools. Besides, the film has a remarkable direction but it is not like any of the Lynch films I have seen so far.

Film made very well. Excellent animation, constant rhythm, beautiful and raw story but told in a really unique way. I didn’t like some forced elements of the plot that serve to justify a kind of "fate" present in the film. The somewhat stereotypical homosexual character did not make me crazy. For the rest a beautiful film about total losers who risk to die of hunger every day in the middle of the street without that nobody remembers of them.

The Holdovers is a really beautiful film. It’s a simple story that tells the lives of ordinary people, analyzed - as the film progresses - more and more deeply. We discover their past, their psychology and their way of being through a narrative that accompanies the viewer without forcing it and without ever seeking the tearful scene.
