This scene is clearly the climax of the film. Brad Pitt, completely broken, screams this line in an explosion of despair. It’s such an intense moment, where all the built-up tension explodes in an instant. We know something terrible is about to happen, but what actually occurs in that moment is shocking and unexpected.
