Goddamn, the last few days have been so stressful. This might be the most I’ve cried in a day ever. My eyes feel so fucking heavy and I’m so tired because of all the crying. I’m sure you know why, but if you don’t, it’s because a rapist, racist, misogynist, and convicted felon (among many other unspeakable things) was elected today. I’m honestly kinda glad that it was quick, because a really close race that would’ve ended with Madam Harris and Mr. Walz losing would’ve killed me.

Kamala’s speech today especially had my waterworks going. It was such a touching and beautiful speech, and I’m so glad I got to be among the millions and millions of others who watched it live.

I know at this point, mental health is incredibly low for men and women alike and I also know that it’s especially low for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, with which makes me want to cry in itself. The fact that half of the country can’t respect people for who they are and who they want to be makes me embarrassed to be living here. No matter your religion, gender, and sexual orientation, if you’re being affected by this election and are seriously questioning things, just remember there’s always a way to get through whatever you’re going through right now. There’s always hope for our future.
