It’s insane how this takes a fairly simplistic story and turns it into something else entirely through it’s visual imagery; it’s beautiful.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) is a thrill ride of epic proportions. It’s impressive how the entire film takes place on the road and yet it somehow finds a way to never be mundane or slow its roll. The only real issues I had with it were that I really wish there was more to the story because it was rather simplistic for me, but honestly the visuals made up for it. Some of the artistic design and VFX work is spectacular. Like, you could take a still from this film and frame it, it’s gorgeous. Anyways, fun movie.

P.S. This is what Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017) tried to be, and I respect that.
