This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
watching a film made in 1957 which criticises the judicial system and still being able to recognise and relate to those same problems in the big 2025 is devastating. part of the issue is also what makes the film less realistic: getting 11 entire men to admit that they were wrong to 11 other men. ig i’ll forgive this one for not passing the bechdel test.

why did elphaba have more tension with the goat than whatever moment she was supposed to be having with the love interest that they “keep thinking about”? holding the goats hoof with both hands and staring into his eyes was more intimate than wiping fiyero’s blood across his face with her fingers for two seconds wth

this is flawed WHATEVER but what i cant deny is that these bridget jones films just fill my heart with complete and utter joy and the most important thing is how a film evokes emotion in you and i will never forget the magic of mark darcy
