Si poeta esse velis, opera crea quae provocatione temporum apocalypticorum obire possint, etiamsi haec significatio ipsa apocalyptica videtur. ¶ Tu es Whitman, tu es Poe, tu es Mark Twain, tu es Aemilia Dickinson et Edna Sanctus Vincentius Millay, tu es Neruda et Mayakovsky et Pasolini, tu es Americanus aut non Americanus, tu verbis victores vincere potest.[2][3]
Poesis Ferlinghettiana, quamquam rebus vulgaribus imbuta, in memoriis lyricis et narrativis conditur. Inter eius argumenta sunt pulchritudo mundi naturalis, tragicomica vulgi vita, discrimen singuli in societate magnaria, et somnium et proditio democratiae.
