South Bay coffee hotspot The Boy & The Bear expands to a new location further north near Culver City. This new Washington Boulevard address marks the first attempt at expansion for The Boy & The Bear, which came to life just last year under the original name The Fika Company. They then rebranded to the new name, along with a greater coffee and lifestyle aesthetic for the company across social media and beyond. It’s proven successful, with Colombian-born owner Andres Pineros pushing into a new address with plans for expanded service and the same focus on South American beans.

Right now The Boy & The Bear is hiring up and training staff, with a scheduled debut sometime in the next three weeks or so. The location at 12712 W. Washington Boulevard puts them right in the mix with that new crop of restaurants, bars, and coffee destinations bordering Marina Del Rey, West LA, Venice, and Culver City. The Boy & The Bear stands one block from A-Frame and Hatchet Hall, and it’s not far from Scopa and all that bustling Abbot Kinney has to offer.
