EMC Seafood was arguably the most popular non-Korean restaurant opening last year in KTown, with an amazing happy hour deal and hip environs for this part of town. Now the concept has signed up Kris Keith and Spacecraft to design and build out a new location, this time inside the Westfield Topanga & Promenade in Canoga Park.
With about 1,200 square feet to work with, it's a bit of a smaller version than the Koreatown original. When it debuts in Summer 2015, this won't even second EMC Seafood, as one or two MORE are in the works right now to open before next summer. Owner Michael Kwan obviously believes that the West Coast seafood shack is a replicable concept, so he's jumping on the trend right now.
For this west SF Valley location, think gray and turquoise hues, galvanized metal lines, and an overall nautical theme.
