Shiny Blue (シャイニーブルー Shainī Burū) was an idol unit established by Kazuma.[1]
Overview[]
The unit was set up as an attempt by Kazuma to earn enough money for removing the cursed ring that got stuck onto his finger, since he realised that providing the type of entertainment from his homeland to the locals would be profitable. Yet despite managing to persuade the six heroines helping him earn the ring removal fee into becoming unit members, none of them but Aqua had the faintest idea what the "idol" Kazuma had in mind was about, so Kazuma had to call on his meager knowledge of the topic that he had gleaned from television shows and anime for explaining the subject.
Using the party's mansion as their headquarters, Kazuma started out by directing the tailoring of the idol costumes, though he was chased outside whenever the girls were performing body measurements and changing. After completing the costumes, which he insisted the girls not to dirty or damage, Kazuma had them do voice training in the mansion's yard, followed by physical training in the form of jogging around Axel. As the producer, he also had to manage the idols' diet and lifestyle, in addition to taking the girls to the Guild where Dust and Keith helped them undergo practice for handshaking events. When it came to selecting the various roles and personalities for the members, however, Kazuma ended up having to choose Aqua as the "centre" due to her superb talent in idol dancing displayed during their song and dance practice sessions. He furthermore gave his idols training on drawing signatures, as well as lessons for idol graduation ceremonies in preparation for when the unit disbands.
Subsequent to many days of working to perfect the idols' performing skills, coming up with a performance itinerary, procuring the needed supplies, and getting permission for holding the performances, Kazuma was able to hold a live performance before a large crowd outside Axel's city gate, where he named the unit "Shiny Blue", since the name gives off a sense of youths providing shining peace. The song and dance displayed by the idols as well as the ensuing handshaking events turned out to be a successful hit, prompting Kazuma into following up with repeated days of performances.
Trouble however soon brewed in the form of ticket resales, fake tickets and unauthorised goods, so Kazuma tried to mitigate by holding special paid events. Yet the fatal blow came when Aqua, without the others' knowledge, tried to convert people into the Axis Order during the handshaking events, which ended up scaring away nearly all of the audience. Kazuma to his utmost fury eventually learned from Luna of what Aqua had done, though at that point there was nothing they could do but cut their losses before the damage to their reputation forced them out of the city, and thus an idol graduation ceremony was held to signify the disbanding of the unit.
