In an effort to better support the University of Iowa community, Information Technology Services (ITS) has deployed a new IT self-service portal called Enterprise Service Center (ESC).
The self-service portal provides faculty, staff, and students a way to log in and submit a question or problem you are experiencing with an IT service. When you submit a problem, a ticket is created and you'll have the ability to track the status of your issue and ask further questions. You’ll receive automatic status updates by email that you can directly reply to. Or, you can log in and add information or update your ticket.
The new portal offers another avenue to engage with IT staff and request support for technical issues. Through the self-service portal, UI students, faculty, and staff can conveniently
- Submit and check on the status of trouble tickets,
- Request services like software installations,
- Ask questions about how to use IT services,
- And more.
You can access the new self-service portal from https://service.uiowa.edu. Sign in using your HawkID and password. Additional information about the ESC portal can be found on the Enterprise Service Center support site.
In addition to the new portal, you can still get help for all your technical needs by contacting the ITS Help Desk or your local support consultant. Before you submit a question, don’t forget to search the ITS website, which houses thousands of support articles with how-to instructions for technical services. The IT Service Alerts page is the most up-to-date spot to check for outages or issues with services and review announcements for new services.
