Slang internet (Internet slang, Internet shorthand, cyber-slang, netspeak, chatspeak) merujuk kepada berbagai jenis slang yang dipakai oleh orang-orang berbeda di Internet. Contoh slang internet adalah "LOL" yang artinya "laugh out loud".
Cikal bakal
[sunting | sunting sumber]Slang internet telah ada sejak masa-masa awal internet dengan beberapa istilah muncul sebelum adanya Internet.[1] Slang internet dipakai dalam chat room, layanan jejaring sosial, permainan daring, permainan video dan komunitas maya.
