UofWAesports Valorant, League Of Legends, Overwatch and Rocket League teams showcase their talents weekly.  UW students can also volunteer to help with outreach or learn broadcasting roles like casting, technical directing, observing and moderating. UW Esports & the Big 10 Conference

UofWAesports is excited to announce our membership in the Big Esports Conference with our new friends in the Big 10! The Big Esports Conference is a coalition of Big 10 schools bringing competitive esport experiences to students and fans around the country.

Play Where The UW’s Teams Practice

The HUB Esports Arena & Gaming Lounge is a 1,000 square-foot full-service gaming center with 38 high-end gaming computers supporting casual and competitive gaming. It serves as the nerve-center and nexus between student communities, interactive media partners, and gaming culture as well as the practice arena for our official teams.

UW gamers receive discounts for pc gaming via:

PC Gaming User Accounts

Note: all gaming customers will need to create a HUB Games ggLeap account and pre-purchase gaming hours.  All hours purchased need not be used at once and will remain in the gamers’ account indefinitely.  Please see the HUB Games front counter to create a HUB Games ggLeap account, to add hours to your account, or to check out a gaming headset.
Note: please be mindful when choosing your username as it will show up on our leaderboards for other guests to see.

Gaming Licenses

Many pc games are free to play with no license required (Fortnite, Apex Legends, etc).  HUB Games provides limited licenses for games like Minecraft, Rainbow Six Siege, etc.  In addition, gamers my log into their own gaming accounts (via launchers Steam, Origin and Epic) to play games they have personally purchased.

Rent the entire Esports Arena & Gaming Lounge

Groups looking to host a large esports/pc event can reserve the entire 1,000 foot space for an hourly fee via our reservation page.

UW Esports Summer Youth Program (grades 10th-12th)

Esports, Gaming & Broadcasting Camps
📅 Coming Spring & Summer 2025

High Schoolers, do you dream of a career in gaming or broadcasting? In our short programs, students will explore a range of topics related to the gaming and interactive media industry, including competitive esports, broadcasting and media, game development, diversity and inclusion, and more.

Students will work collaboratively to broadcast an esports match, gaining hands-on experience in production, directing, shoutcasting, marketing and communications, and competitive play.  Students will also have a chance to hear from industry experts to learn from their experience and explore potential careers in gaming.
