Moose Jaw is a city located in south-central Saskatchewan, Canada.[2]
In the 1970s, the city's resident Quidditch team, the Moose Jaw Meteorites, was threatened with disbandment as a result of the players' illegal practise of flying over nearby towns with sparks trailing from their broomsticks after winning matches.
The team thereafter chose to restrict this tradition to the Quidditch pitch at the end of games. Meteorites games remained a popular attraction for witches and wizards visiting Moose Jaw.[1]
